Before Columbus came to America, the population of the Native Americans - the first, aboriginal peoples - was about 5 million. By 1890, it was 250.000.
During the same period the white population in the U.S. increased to 75 million. As it did so, it usurped the ancestral lands of the Indians who had inhabited the continent for centuries, and destroyed both the delicate balance of their wonderful old way of life. This may be the most voluminous category of the American West Culture Club. We will do our best to set history straight and to provide the truth from all prospective's.
In the main menu we will hear from the Elders and the Spirit People from each tribe. The true story has yet to be told from their heart and feelings. We know them. They had a spirit and knowledge of nature still not fully known by the white ones.

Pivotal events such as the removal, in the 1830s of the Southeastern tribes to what was called Indian Territory, (Oklahoma), and the Long March of the Navajo to imprisonment at Fort Sumner (New Mexico) in 1864. The Trail of Tears by the Cherokees and the tragedy at Wounded Knee in 1890 marked the demise of their great civilization. The advancement of the white man’s culture by the end of the century had savagely replaced a much older one.
This was the first genocide (ethnic cleansing) perpetrated by the US government. Learn More!
