Story tellin', cowboy music and poetry expressed the activities and ways of the west. The American West Culture Club will bring you the best of all the venues of the creative ways of the cowboys, cowgirls and settlers of the West. Cowboy poetry has had a wonderful resurgence in these times.
What is a poem anyway, of what value to mankind?
Perhaps a healing for the soul or a vision for the blind.
The capture of an instant, a remembered beauty rare.
An unshed tear of yesteryear or a quiet unspoken prayer.
An utterance of emotion from sheltered depths of soul.
A laughing troutstream's murmuring or amber waves that roll.
Could be a fine horse loping while some cowboy sings a song.
Or the caress of ones beloved in the hero's arm so strong.
There is no act or story a poet cannot reveal.
No emotion, pain or happiness the poet cannot feel.
For all of life and living can be illuminated when,
Wisdom, truth and beauty are awakened by a poets pen...
